Legal Policy
Last updated: November 25, 2025
This Legal Policy sets out the terms under which you may install and use the My Shortcuts Chrome extension ("the extension"). By installing or using the extension, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension.
1. License
- You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use the extension solely for personal or internal business purposes in Google Chrome or other Chromium-based browsers that support Manifest V3 extensions.
- You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the extension or any portion of its code without prior written permission.
2. Acceptable Use
- You agree not to misuse the extension, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access its source in a way that violates applicable law.
- You may not use the extension to store or transmit malicious, infringing, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful content.
- You are responsible for ensuring that any links or data you add comply with all relevant laws, including intellectual property obligations.
3. Intellectual Property
- All intellectual property rights in the extension's code, design, and branding remain with the developer (pmigueli).
- External trademarks or logos displayed through user-added shortcuts remain the property of their respective owners.
4. Third-Party Services
- The extension interacts with Google Chrome's storage, sync, tabs, and search APIs, and fetches favicons from Google's favicon service. Use of these services is also governed by Google's terms.
- The extension may display or link to third-party sites; those sites are not controlled by the developer, and their terms and privacy policies apply independently.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
- The extension is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.
- The developer does not warrant that the extension will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted, or that it will meet your expectations.
6. Limitation of Liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the extension.
7. Indemnification
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of the extension, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any rights of a third party.
8. Changes and Termination
- The developer may update or discontinue the extension at any time without notice.
- This Legal Policy may be updated occasionally; continued use of the extension after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Governing Law
- These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in Madrid, Spain for any disputes.
